Mental Issues are the Pits

My brain led me into a false sense of security today.

Suddenly, I felt happier, but it was probably because it was pay day.

Something happened, nothing serious, and I felt anxious again.

My angry mood I had to restrain.

I was just thinking about coming of my tablets too!

I need to an escape from feeling blue.

Hopefully, I'll get better and these nice feelings aren't just a fleeting thing.

Perhaps, instead of feeling morose, my heart will sing.

Ode to the Sun

Oh sun you are so pretty,

when you spread your wings across the city.

You look so majestic up in the sky, as I pass you by. 

Sadly, the daytime does not last long at  this time of year,

you will soon leave us, I fear.

If  I knew you would be back tomorrow,

then my heart would not be filled with such sorrow.

But alas, your presence cannot be foreseen,

which is just obscene.

because when you do appear, that's a wondrous day.

A Week off and Still Tired

I have no idea how I will be able to get up for work on Monday.

So many late nights and getting up at eleven,

what else can I say...

Just seven weeks to go before our weekend away, I can't wait for that day.

Temptation

There's a cream egg sitting in the cupboard and it's been calling to me for hours.

It's way better than a bunch of flowers.

I can almost smell it, when I think about it, that can't be right.

I could have a small bite!

Or, to stop that sugar and fat moving to my hips. 

I could wait for my sausage and chips.

Thinking about it some more, I don't know which one is worse,

So, I'll eat that cream egg first.

What a Lovely Week We've had.

Me and my husband have had a week off and we're feeling refreshed.

We've not been annoyed or stressed.

We've got up when we wanted too, and lazed around in our nightwear.

We've been lolling around in our cosy chair.

Don't get me wrong, we haven't been sitting in the chair all week,
Occasionally, we've had to go for a leak.

A Week Off

My week off starts today,

I've got proofreading to do, so I can't stay.

HALF TERM

Cuddling up on the sofa and relaxing is really cool.

For the next two weeks, there is no school.

Seven whole days to do whatever I please,

I'm going to do everything with ease.

Only Two Days to Go

Only two days to go before half term starts,

time to tackle the Fine Arts.

A whole week off, to do as I like,

strolls in the park and riding my non existing bike. lol

I'm looking forward to writing when I want too,

while I admire the Portland view.

No alarms to wake me up,

drinking tea from a teacup.

Just chilling out and having fun,

not leaving anything undone.

Best of all, I can proofread my book all in one go.

I won't be on a go slow....

because I have to do a million things in the house,

at least now, I'll have time to see my spouse.

The Witching Hour

It's that time of night when your thinking,

I've got to stop drinking.

No seriously, I know I should go to bed,

but there's so much in my head.

I know that after work, I should have done more with my night.

Instead of lying on the sofa, I should have been upright.

Well, there's no time do anything about it.

So, I'll relax for a while and sit.

It's time now to go to bed,

for I have a heavy head.

Gales

It's a sunny, cold and windy day.

But hey!

That's nothing new, it's like that here.

You just have to put on the right weather gear.

is my heart's desire.

Hot Coffee and a chocolate biscuit and trash TV,

sadly, that's me.

It's Really Hard to do a Poem a Day

It's really hard to do a poem a day,

because this thing called life, gets in the way.

I don't know how many I've missed now,

I can see you raising an eyebrow.

I'm just going to do a poem when I can,

I think that is the best plan.

Another Dull and Miserable Winter's Day

It's raining again, nothing new about that,

so obviously, I feel a little flat.

Still, rain is good for the plants, I say, 

as I sit here in my underpants.

That's a blatant lie, I just used that word to make my poem rhyme.

Hurry up, Springtime.

See, I've done it again,

now I'm going to stop using this pen.

A Pink Day

I'm having a pink day today,

probably because it's not a school day.

It's a lazy, misty, chilly morning,

let's hope there's not a snow warning.

I'm going to have a day of rest,

after yesterday's shopping quest.

PAY DAY


Pay day, say no more,
shops galore.
