Poetry Club

My poetry club were rehearsing today,

it didn't go smoothly, in any way.

Still, they had their hearts in it, that's all I can ask.

Although, it's not a huge task.

They are showing it in celebration assembly on Friday,

Fingers crossed it goes their way.

Just one more day of rehearsals left,

let's hope their performance doesn't leave me bereft.
