Oh dear!

I was tired yesterday and nodded off in my chair.

Anyway, I would have probably been full of hot air.

However, I didn't go to bed,

I dozed off watching the telly instead.

Now I will have to write two poems to make up for my error,

which will fill most with terror.

That was yesterday's text,

now it's today's one that is next.

We went to town today with the family, and enjoyed the treat;

and we had a coffee and cake in the main street.

Alas, my hubby bought some oil paint, but I bought nothing.

When I usually buy something.

Now, I'm resting in my chair and I am starting to relax.

I know I'm getting a little lax.

With that in mind, I'm off to do some research for my new book,

then write it in my notebook.

I've just got to shake this tiredness off and stop procrastinating,

that's the thing.
