SALAD  DAY TODAY

Being as it's nice and warm, I thought that salad was the order of the day.

So I got; tomatoes,cucumber,lettuce, chicken, pork pie and loads more nibbly bits, then went to the checkout to pay.

I came home and started to pack my shopping away.

Then realised, my cucumber had run away.

Which wasn't funny, because what had started off as a salad, 

had now turned into a buffet,

and even the fresh veg was starting to decay.

There was no radish, no celery, no onions, no peppers, no way was it a salad.

In fact, my salad was invalid.

But I've got a plan, I've got loads of coleslaw and potato salad,

so  I'm going to put it under the lettuce and pad things out.

I'm sure that will give it a bit more clout.

But either way, I'm not bothered what the family think.

Because I won't have to clean any pots at the kitchen sink.

Actually, I'm really hungry, so I'm going to have my pork pie.

Just before things go awry.

That way, I'll have my pork pie and my husband won't be able to get his mitts on it.

Which will save me from having a massive fit. 

Come to think of it, I better eat my scotch egg too,

If he gets his hands on that, I really will be blue.
