AFTER THE CHORES ARE DONE.
What a great day.
Looking out of the window,
at home I don't want to stay.
The sea is calm the sky is blue,
and everything is so tranquil,
a nature's homage to me and you.
The crispness of the air and the brilliance of the sun, cannot fail to make us feel lucky to be alive.
Whatever our circumstances, the atmosphere encourages us to thrive.
This marvellous weather is a great surprise, especially when rainy days seem on the rise.
I need to get out in that sun and have
fun.
If not, fun, I need to get the washing on the line,
then sit in the garden with a glass of red wine.
But sadly, that will have to wait as the chores need to be done,
then I can walk out in the sun.
I can already feel the sun's rays washing over me and the breeze in my hair.
The problem, is, what do I wear.
It's that time of the year, when you are lured into a false sense of security and you don't think you need a coat.
Then in the afternoon, it rains so much that you need a boat.
But despite this, I want to relish the day,
and I'm not going to wear my coat, no way!
I'm going to wear a little jerkin instead,
once I can pull myself out of this bed.
No! Seriously, I'm not still in bed,
I do in fact, have to get out off this sofa instead.
