Time to get back to the real world

Poetry is easy when you talk about life,

but when writing about the future, it feels like strife.

I'm looking for work now, and although I'd love to watch more TV and find out who's the dad,

I really need to get a life SO BAD.

I've loved being a lady of leisure but now I need a cause,

So I'm turning off that button called pause.

So watch out world, I'm sending out my CV.

Sadly, it's not as compelling as the TV.

But that's why I have to motivate myself and look for something new,

because life is about exploring, and to thine self be true.
