It's not fair

How come, when you put your hand in a packet of chocolate buttons, your head says, don't eat any more.
But the devil on your shoulder, says, go on, pour them out on the plate.
Or even the floor.

At first, I eat the buttons slowly,
then I start to eat them quicker.
Before I know it, half of them are gone, oh woe is me.
I then take a handful and stuff them till I'm fuller.

If only I'd opened them when the room was full.
There would have been less for me to eat.
But that little devil told me, it's cold, you need them for fuel.
Now I've eaten too many and can't get out of the seat.
